Freshwater Pearl Earrings

I had these cute teardrop shaped findings for earrings {thanks Amy!} and could not resist wire-wrapping pearls to go on them. I wanted to create something pretty and elegant, earrings that could be dressed up or down.

Here is what the they looked like prior to putting the ear wires on. I thought about adding more pearls, but decided against it after leaving them alone for a while.

Here is what the earrings look like finished. They actually came out better than expected. When worn, the pearls cluster in the middle—so pretty.  I have been working on pearl jewelry for the last two days, so you will definitely see more pearl jewelry soon.

Freshwater Pearl Earrings measure approximately 1 ½ inches from the ear wire. These earrings can be purchased at the EZRA Spring 2012 jewelry party on Saturday, March, 24th.

Oh, and a little shout-out to Amy. Any time she sees any cute jewelry findings she always picks some up for me! She is such a sweetheart! Gracias!

Tangerine Statement Necklace

Wire-wrapped glass, tangerine cube beads and deep turquoise glass seed beads make a bold statement in this necklace. This necklace measures 21 inches in length and comes with matching tangerine earrings. This necklace was created out of sheer curiosity of wire-wrapping the cubed beads… “What would happen if?”… So, I just started playing and this is the result. I loved the way the bluish-green seed beads looked with it so I added four strands on each side. This necklace will be perfect for a night out or some other event where bold jewelry is appropriate.

Moonstone & Snow Quartz Set

This set that can be dressed up or down to instantly add a fresh touch for spring. The necklace came together after I created another necklace. I knew that I wanted to use the howlite and snow quartz together, which did not work out in the first necklace, so I added small, rectangular moonstone beads and fell in love with the simplicity of the look. The moonstone looks as if it is dancing around the neck while the howlite and snow quartz briolettes daintily take center stage. Necklace measures 18 inches in length. Matching earrings measure 1 ¼ inches from ear wire.

Playful in Pink

This necklace is inspired by J.Crew’s spring jewelry; specifically, their blooming bead pendant necklace: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/jewelry/necklaces/PRDOVR~74442/74442.jsp.  I loved the beads in the middle of the chain. I decided to try it and voila, this playful statement necklace was created. I used aluminum chain, glass seed beads, glass crystals, shell & resin. I off-centered the pink crystals for a little playfulness and added a large shell and resin bauble for fun. You can’t help but feel happy in this necklace!

Necklaces With Interest

These two necklaces are interesting and delicate and a great way to add a touch of whimsy to an outfit. These necklaces invoke a sense of playfulness and curiosity. The ladder necklace makes me think of climbing new heights—never give up and always push forward. The sideways flare necklace reminds to of thinking outside of the box—you won’t get very far stuck inside one, right? Playing around with jewelry designs is fun and exhilarating especially when the results are unexpectedly beautiful. I usually have a general idea of how I want to design a piece, but as I start creating, the pieces normally evolve into something else. I don’t think these pictures do these necklaces any justice; however, I still wanted to share…Enjoy.
