Wire-wrapped glass, tangerine cube beads and deep turquoise glass seed beads make a bold statement in this necklace. This necklace measures 21 inches in length and comes with matching tangerine earrings. This necklace was created out of sheer curiosity of wire-wrapping the cubed beads… “What would happen if?”… So, I just started playing and this is the result. I loved the way the bluish-green seed beads looked with it so I added four strands on each side. This necklace will be perfect for a night out or some other event where bold jewelry is appropriate.
This week’s color focus is green: “green symbolizes life (especially new life), growth, fresh, flourishing and prosperity” (www.preciousstonesof thebible.com). Life is the focus this morning.
Proverbs 3:1-4 “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, 2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. 3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and humankind” (TNIV).
God’s Word breathes life into any situation. Read His Word and recall it—it is life-changing. The New Year is right around the corner, let God’s Word be a roadmap this year for a transformed life. I hope that when you look at the color green it will remind you of God’s promises.
Additional Verses of Inspiration:
Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful” (TNIV).
2 Corinthians 4:16 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day” (TNIV).
Chaya Interchangeable Earrings: Peridot & Olivine Swarovski bicone crystals paired with round Russian Serpentine beads. Chaya is a Jewish name meaning “life” (babynology.com). These earrings are the perfect sparkly reminder of God’s promises!
This week’s color focus is black: “black symbolizes judgment, fear of the Lord and mourning” (www.preciousstonesof thebible.com). I want to focus on fearing God. There are a couple of verses that really stood out this morning.
1) Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction” (NASB).
2) Psalm 145:19 “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them” (NASB).
To me, fear represents respect, reverence and awe. I love the first verse noted above, I like that fear of God is associated with knowledge. An understanding of God and His goodness will increase your desire to learn more and reflect that knowledge in your daily life. If you are having a hard time understanding God’s word ask Him and He will help you (James 1:5). I found a quote that fits nicely with this topic.
“Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence” (Abigail Adams).
Out of your fear, reverence and awe of the Lord, you will diligently seek His word. You have to make a point to get into the Word, and as you learn your life will reflect it. The second verse noted above says that God “will fulfill the desire of those that fear Him.” God’s love and wisdom is available to all who seek Him—you just have to look for Him!
Ezbon necklace: Waxed black cotton cord, black wooden beads and clear, faceted acrylic beads. Adjustable. The name Ezbon is a biblical name that means “hastening to understand” (babynology.com)…which I thought fit perfectly. I hope that you never look at the color black the same way again!
