These two necklaces are interesting and delicate and a great way to add a touch of whimsy to an outfit. These necklaces invoke a sense of playfulness and curiosity. The ladder necklace makes me think of climbing new heights—never give up and always push forward. The sideways flare necklace reminds to of thinking outside of the box—you won’t get very far stuck inside one, right? Playing around with jewelry designs is fun and exhilarating especially when the results are unexpectedly beautiful. I usually have a general idea of how I want to design a piece, but as I start creating, the pieces normally evolve into something else. I don’t think these pictures do these necklaces any justice; however, I still wanted to share…Enjoy.

This week’s color focus is white: “white symbolizes purity, righteousness, holiness, and the Bride of Christ” (www.preciousstonesof thebible.com). I want to focus on purity. When I think of purity I think about cleanliness and how God cleansed us with His blood.
Psalm 51:7 “Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow” (NASB).
Matthew 28:3 “And his appearance was like lighting, and his clothing as white as snow” (NASB).
Perfectly white and unblemished snow is used as a reference for God’s cleansing power. I am so thankful that I serve a loving and forgiving God. We can rest assure in God’s promises and take comfort in His cleansing Word.
Nevada Necklace: Snow Quartz and Moonstone gemstone beads; 37 inches in length. Nevada is a Spanish name meaning “covered in snow” (babynames.com).
This week’s color focus is blue: “blue symbolizes heaven, revelation, and priesthood” (www.preciousstonesofthebible.com). Deuteronomy 28:12 “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands” (TNIV). Wow, what a great verse! As I was looking for a verse on heaven, I was thinking how the blueberry quartz looks like large rain drops and I came across this verse. I knew that it was the one. I love how God will just point you in the right direction when you are seeking His direction. I want to tribute my jewelry to Him. This necklace features blue chalcedony, kyanite, moonstone, blueberry quartz, and serpentine and it measures 27 inches in length with a toggle closure. The small blue chalcedony drops sprinkled throughout are like a little reminder of Heaven, and to keep your thoughts focused upward.
Quartz crystal briolette beads are elegantly wrapped with wire and suspended from simple French ear wires. These earrings measure approximately 3 inches from the ear wire.
According to Precious Stones of the Bible (http://preciousstonesofthebible.com/colorsymbolism.html), crystal is referenced in Job 28:17, Isaiah 54:12, and Revelation 4:6, 21:11 and 22:1. Revelation 21:11 stood out to me, “having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal” (NKJV). I like this verse because it speaks of light being like a “precious stone.” This light is referring to the New Jerusalem, but it makes me think about God’s light in us and how we need to let it shine (sound familiar?). This verse does not say quartz crystal, but mentions the color, which solidifies my reasoning for focusing more on colors for my Stones of the Bible jewelry making endeavor. These earrings can be a reminder to let God’s light shine through you!

I named this necklace Tova because it means good in Hebrew. Smoky quartz is suspended from labradorite beads and citrine chips for a bold yet understated look. The large rough nuggets are smoky quartz and are said to make the wearer feel happy. The small bluish-green and grey coins are labradorite which is said to bring the wearer energy. The golden chips are citrine and are believed to fight depression. The small bluish-green round beads are moss agate and known for its balancing properties. With this combination of gemstones, one can’t help but feel happy.
Regardless of the gemstones properties, this necklace is beautiful and all the colors are neutral. This necklace will ground any outfit and go great with all the bright colors featured this fall. The shortest strand of this necklace measures 19 ½ inches and the longest measures 24 inches. Check out my shop on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ezrajewelrydesign?ref=si_shop Thanks for looking! 🙂
