Week 11: Phoebe Earrings

This week’s color representation is on iridescent stones. Iridescent stones illustrate the “promises of God” (www.preciousstonesof thebible.com). I chose two of my most favorite iridescent gemstones: moonstone and labradorite. As these gemstones change colors in the light, so does our situations change as we shed God’s light on them. This is something that I am learning to do and it really helps to bring everything into perspective. Taking situations as they come, especially difficult ones, and looking to God’s Word for guidance is something that gets easier with practice. I have noticed a change in my reactions and responses since I now take a moment to reflect on God’s Word prior to responding. I take my time and am much more peaceful. Some days are better than others, but as I take one day at a time and look to God’s Word, I know that I am on the right track! Now, here is one of my favorite verses to go with my favorite gemstones:

1 Chron. 38:20

“Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you (NLT).

This verse helps me to stay focused. If I do the work and rely on God, He promises to help me.
